MINSK, 20 December (BelTA) – Belarus’ Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Ecuador Igor Poluyan met with Mr Richard Martinez Alvarado, President of the Ecuadorian Business Committee, Chairman of the Ecuadorian Chamber of Industries and Production, BelTA learned from the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus.

“During the meeting the parties discussed the development of bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, and manufacturing, and the prospects for setting up Belarus-Ecuador joint ventures to assemble Belarusian vehicles, to process agricultural products, fish, and sea food,” the press service reported.

Special attention was placed on establishing direct contacts and cooperation between the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Ecuadorian Chamber of Industries and Production, and the organization of exchange business visits in 2017.

The Belarusian diplomat also spoke about Belarus’ potential in industry, technology, and export.
