Belarus may supply electrobuses to Moscow

MINSK, 16 October (BelTA) - Belarus has a serious chance of becoming a supplier of electric buses to Moscow, Minister of the Moscow City Government, Head of the Moscow City Foreign Economic and International Relations Department Sergei Cheremin said in an interview to the STV Channel, BelTA has learned.

“Belarusian companies have supplied transport to Moscow before. We use Belarusian trolleybuses. Belarusian producers have a serious chance of participating in a tender on the supply of electric buses,” Sergei Cheremin said.

He stressed that Moscow is interested in cooperation with Belarus and Minsk in different areas, and first of all in economy, food supplies, education, healthcare, IT development, the exchange of innovative solutions applied in transportation systems management, and utilities sector.

“We will continue our contacts. We have agreed that next year we will hold a commission on business and cultural cooperation between Moscow and Belarus. We plan to organize it in Brest,” said Sergei Cheremin.

The minister of the Moscow City government also views the Belarusian capital one of the most beautiful cities in Europe.

The Minsk Days in Moscow were held on 10-11 October. The Russian capital played host to fairs of Belarusian products and goods, a wide cultural program and a business cooperation forum.
