Statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus on the recognition of the Republic of South Sudan
The Republic of Belarus extends recognition to the Republic of South Sudan as a sovereign and independent country.
Belarus welcomes the creation of a new state by the popular referendum of January 2011.
The Republic of Belarus is interested in the development of mutually profitable bilateral cooperation with the Republic of South Sudan for the wellbeing and prosperity of both nations.
