Some 23,000 tickets sold for Slavianski Bazaar concerts

MINSK, 3 May (BelTA) – Some 23,000 tickets have been sold for the concerts of the 26th International Festival of Arts Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk and almost 45,000 tickets have been booked so far, Alexander Sidorenko, the director of the festival, told a press conference, BelTA has learned.

Some programs sold out a month ago. Alexander Sidorenko noted a great interest of the public in the events of the Slavianski Bazaar, for example the I Love Festival concert program. It will feature young Belarusian singers and bands and also Russian guests.

Another program enjoying success is the anniversary of the famous band Syabry. It will be held as part of the Union State Day program.

The organizers of the festival welcome the great interest in Ukrainian performers. The Welcome Ukraine program will feature folk artists and young artists.

Speaking about the geography of ticket sales Alexander Sidorenko observed that the biggest sales are in Vitebsk of course. Every year tickets sales increase in Minsk, cities and towns located close to Vitebsk. Tickets also sell well in Russia, Ukraine, Latvia and Lithuania. “Thanks to e-tickets we have viewers from all over the world. We hope that visa entry will play its role this year, although we will be able to know exactly in the run-up to the festival,” Alexander Sidorenko said.

This year the festival is set to earn Br3.5 million on ticket sales. This is traditionally the biggest share of the festival’s budget which makes up Br5.7 million this year. Sponsorship funds, as planned, will make up Br1.5 million. Slavianski Bazaar is becoming increasingly attractive for partners, said Alexander Sidorenko.

The 26th edition of the International Festival of Arts Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk will run from 13 to 17 July with additional events on 10, 11, 12, 18 and 19 July.
