Six counties to participate in beach football tournament in Vitebsk

VITEBSK, 10 August (BelTA) - Teams from six countries will participate in beach football tournaments Open Baltic Beach Football Champions League and Friendship Cup 2012 that will be held in Vitebsk from 10 to 12 August. The winners of the tournaments will be awarded prizes from the Belarusian Football Federation and the Vitebsk Oblast Executive Committee, BelTA learnt from the Physical Culture, Sport and Tourism Department of the Vitebsk City Council.

Participating in the tournament will be the best beach football teams from Belarus, Russia, Lithuania, Poland, Latvia and Azerbaijan. They are BATE (Belarus), Dinamo-LAT (Latvia), Red Star Adventure (Poland), Kronshtadt-Promenad (Russia), IGOL (Lithuania) along with the national team of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Polish clubs team, the Baltic states team and the Belarusian national team.

The highlight of the event will be a gala-match of the Belarusian pop and football stars against the organizers of the event.

The Belarusian pop stars will also give in a concert on 11 August. A beach football stadium on the Vitba river will be the venue for the tournaments and the concert.
