Mass Media in Belarus expo to take place in Pobeditelei Avenue

MINSK, 1 April (BelTA) – The international exhibition Mass Media in Belarus will be held at the exhibition center in 14 Pobeditelei Avenue this year, BelTA learnt from the Printed Media and PR Department of the Information Ministry of Belarus.

The Mass Media in Belarus expo is a unique professional platform in the post-Soviet space. The 20th exhibition will take place on 11-14 May. The expo will comprise roundtable sessions, seminars and master classes with the participation of leading journalists and media experts, presentation events.

Over the years the exhibition has become not only an essential part of the Belarusian media community but also acquired a status of the international forum for electronic and printed media. Partaking in the forum apart from Belarus are mass media outlets of the Russian Federation, the Union State, the CIS countries, China, Venezuela, Cuba, other states.

Invited to partake in the exhibition are printed and audiovisual mass media, new agencies, united media structures, Internet providers, distributors of printed materials and advertising organizations, publishing houses and printing offices.

The awards ceremony of the national print media competition Zolotaya Litera (Golden Letter) will be held during the expo. The Information Ministry receives applications for the 12th national print media competition Zolotaya Litera until 15 April. Printed mass media registered in Belarus and also journalists, workers of printed media can submit their best materials produced in 2015.

The 20th international exhibition Mass Media in Belarus will be a platform to discuss the current state and development of the Belarusian information field as well as future plans.

The expo is organized by the Information Ministry, the Belexpo center under the auspices of the Minsk City Hall, the National State Television and Radio Company, the Belarusian Union of Journalists, the Union of Publishers and Distributors of Press, the House of Press.
