Belarus to host European Boxing Championships 2013

MINSK, 19 April (BelTA) – The 2013 European Boxing Championships will take place at Minsk Arena, BelTA learnt from the Belarusian Boxing Federation.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the executive committee of the European Boxing Confederation in Trabzon, Turkey, which is hosting the European Olympic qualifying event for the 2012 Games. 

The preliminary date for the competitions is 17-26 May.

In the voting to host the continental forum Belarus outran the Netherlands. According to the Belarusian Boxing Federation, Belarus submitted a well-prepared quality presentation, ensuring the best conditions for the competitions, the participants and guests of the championship.
