MINSK, 30 July (BelTA) – The Belarusian folk dance company Rovessnik is taking part in the international children’s festival of culture and arts in Tianjin, China, on 29 July-2 August, BelTA learnt from the Embassy of Belarus in the People's Republic of China.
The festival is sponsored by the Culture Ministry of China, the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, China Association for International Exchange and the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation.
Taking part in the event are more than 2,000 children from 53 countries and representatives of 31 regions of the People's Republic of China.
The main idea of the event is to show that children can bring much joy and goodness to the world. Despite young age, children may become messengers of love and friendship as in their hands they hold the future in which there should be no wars, racial discrimination, poverty and other problems of the modern age.
