Belarus’ Business Week to be held in Harbin 15 June

MINSK, 12 June (BelTA) – The forum “Belarus Business Week will be held in the Chinese city of Harbin on 15 June, BelTA was told in the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the co-organizer of the event together with the Minsk City Hall.

The purpose of the business forum is to present investment opportunities of Belarus, strengthen long-term trade and economic cooperation between the two countries, and establish new business contacts. Chinese partners will be provided with a number of projects from the flagships of the Belarusian mechanical engineering, oil refining, energy and construction industries, and the Minsk City Hall. First Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Vladimir Semashko and Mayor of the City of Harbin Song Xibin will make speeches at the forum.

A business matchmaking session between Belarusian and Chinese businessmen will be held as part of the forum.

The business forum is timed to coincide with a visit of the official and business delegation of Belarus to China and Belarus’ participation in the 23rd China Harbin International Economic and Trade Fair due on 15-19 June.

Belarus’ national exposition will occupy 600 square meters and will feature more than 80 domestic enterprises and organizations. Among them will be Minsk Tractor Plant (MTZ trademark), Gomselmash, Svitanak, Spartak, the Belarusian State University.

Belarus’ national exposition is organized by the Trade Ministry of Belarus and Belinterexpo Company of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

China Harbin International Economic and Trade Fair is a large-scale expo annually held with the support from the Chinese government. The fair is organized by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, the National Development and Reform Commission of the People's Republic of China, the China International Trade Promotion Committee and the authorities of Heilongjiang Province and the City of Harbin.
