MINSK, 18 June (BelTA) - The Mogilev office of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) is organizing a visit of Belarusian companies’ representatives to the U.S. The visit is scheduled for 20-26 August, BelTA learnt from the Mogilev office of the BCCI.
The Belarusian businessmen will travel to Las Vegas (Nevada) and Los Angeles (California), the second biggest city in the U.S. and one of the largest economic, cultural and financial centers of the world.
The goal of the visit is to present Belarusian enterprises to potential business partners, and establish new business ties with American businessmen and strengthen the existing ones. The delegation will seek to broaden the geography of Belarusian export and strengthen various forms of mutual cooperation.
The BCCI noted that this business visit to the U.S. will be the third one in 2012. The first such visit was organized on 28 January-5 February by the Mogilev office of the BCCI with the assistance from the Belarus’ Foreign Ministry. Back then the Belarusian delegation attended the presentations of investment companies, banks, New Jersey department of commerce and the Economic Development Authority, International Trade Center in Northern New Jersey, legal and logistics companies of the U.S. Besides, there were two business matchmaking sessions between Belarusian and American businessmen.
The second visit to New York and Albany was made on 14-25 May. Representatives of the Belarusian furniture industry visited the prestigious International Contemporary Furniture Fair-2012, which showcased more than 500 exhibits from all over the world. Thus the Belarusian businessmen were able to establish business ties with the world’s leading furniture industry companies, interior designers, architects, wholesale sellers and furniture manufacturers. The members of the delegation took part in a seminar on the U.S.-the CIS business development.
