International competition in figure skating Minsk Arena Ice Star 2016

Minsk Arena, one of Europe’s biggest ice arenas, played host to the 5th edition of the international competition "Minsk Arena Ice Star" which the International Skating Union (ISU) introduced into the calendar of seasonal events in 2012. The competition held on 18-20 November featured 300 figure skaters from 20 countries including from Belarus, Ukraine, Russia, Bulgaria, Moldova, Latvia, Czech Republic, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Lithuania, Kyrgyzstan, Sweden, Luxembourg, Australia, South Korea, Brazil...

The program featured men, ladies and ice dance, senior and junior under 15. The Minsk event ended on 20 November with a gala performance starring the prizewinners and guests, among whom there were two-time world champions Elena Leonova and Andrey Hvalko, the participants of the TV show Ice Age and the new musical Carmen produced by Ilia Averbukh.
