On last Saturday of summer, 26 August, the marathon of national culture fests in the historic center of Minskthe Upper Town – continued with the Armenian Culture Festival. The event was organized by the Minsk City Hall, the Minsk city Armenian cultural and educational society Hayastan with the assistance of the Armenian Embassy in Belarus.

The festival day opened with a big concert featuring well-known representatives of the Armenian diaspora, natives of that country - opera singer Gohar Hakobyan, pop singers Iskui Abalyan, Yeghiazar Farashian, Stela, Vahram Karapetyan, the illusionist Arsen Melkonyan and also Armenian dance and song group Erebouni. Guests were welcomed by Minsk Mayor Andrei Shorets and Ambassador Oleg Yesayan. They also joined the fun and visited a handicraft fair, took part in a football tournament and folk games.

Guests of the festival were offered to make a historic journey to the origins of Christianity in the Armenian lands, play a football game for the prizes of Henrikh Mkhitaryan, play chess at the Tigran Petrosyan chess tournament, attend cooking classes, taste traditional dishes and drinks, learn the basics of writing and write their name in the Armenian language and try on the national costume to make memorable selfies.
