MINSK, 27 August (BelTA) – Sasha Minyonok has been selected to represent Belarus at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2016 in Malta. The young singer won the national Eurovision selection final on 26 August, BelTA has learned.
Sasha Minyonok beat eight other hopefuls and two bands.
The winner was named after a simultaneous public and jury vote. Sasha Minyonok will perform his Music of My Victories, a song about his intention to find himself in music and dedicate himself to music and stage, leave his mark.
The young singer got the Crystal Microphone, a symbol of the national Eurovision selection. Last year the winner was Ruslan Aslanov.
According to the press service of the Belteleradiocompany, Sasha Minyonok started singing at 8 and makes part of the Honored Company of Belarus, the popular song theater Khvilinka.
