MOSCOW, 3 March (BelTA) – President of Russia Vladimir Putin has conferred an Order of Alexander Nevsky upon Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko, BelTA has learned.

The order is bestowed upon prominent Russian and foreign political and public figures, representatives of the business community of foreign countries for their contribution to cooperation with the Russian Federation and assistance with the country’s social and economic development. The Order of Alexander Nevsky was reintroduced as part of Russia’s state awards system in September 2010.
