MINSK, 30 August (BelTA) – The Russian team won the title at the second international fireworks competitions, Navalnitsa 2010, which took place at the Logoisk ski resort on 27-28 August. Russia staged a stunning show that won them the first place, BelTA has learnt.
A team from Poland (Lider) and Ukrainians took second and third places respectively. The Polish team was also given a special title, For Unsurpassed Skills and Originality. At the award ceremony, the members of the jury said it was hard for them to decide to whom to award the main prize. Everyone put up a great show. The teams from Italy, Estonia, Ukraine, Poland and Russia were assessed according to several criteria: synchronicity and originality, combination of music and performance, and the skills of a team to work in space. The emotional component of a fireworks show is also important, according to the jury. This means that a team should be able to predict the emotions of spectators, and to know how to enchant and delight the audience.
“We were unable to show everything we planned because of the rainy weather,” the winners told BelTA. “We take part in different festivals and can say with confidence that everything had been organized at a high level here,” the Russian firework team said. The Navalnitsa 2010 winners confirmed they would be happy to take part in the next festival.
Despite the bad weather, the show drew a lot of spectators. Among the highlights of the event was a concert of such rock stars as B-2, Krambambulya, Akvarium, Open space and others.
