MINSK, 14 October (BelTA) – President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko wished Happy Mother’s Day to Belarusian women, BelTA learned from the presidential press service.

“This bright holiday is close to heart of every person as our parents’ warmth is with us from the very first moments of life, unconditional mother’s love and father’s advice make us stronger and help cope with any challenges,” the message of greetings reads.

A strong family is a core of prosperity of the society. Therefore, the country pays much attention to the protection of maternity and childhood, promotion of family values and strengthening of parents’ authority for the youth. “This holiday is a good reason to once again remind us that we are truly happy only when our loved ones are happy,” Alexander Lukashenko stressed.

“Today we honor every mother. We bow low before mothers of many children and women who take care of foster children. We are immensely grateful to our mothers, grandmothers and great grandmothers. Thank you for patience and courage, cordiality and kindness. We are deeply in debt to you. Dear mothers, let your homes be always full of joy and comfort, let your relatives be healthy. I hope that you will be sincerely loved by your children, grandchildren and great grandchildren,” the head of state remarked.
