MINSK, 14 October (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has sent Mother Day greetings to Belarusian women, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“This holiday highlights the great role of woman who gives birth, protects and brings up children, is the guardian of family traditions. Every person has the warmest feelings for, bright and happy memories of his or her mother,” the message of greetings reads.

The head of state noted that motherhood embodies the best human qualities such as selflessness and generosity, care of the kith and kin, commitment to the noble moral duty, spirituality and virtue which are especially important for the society today.
