Lukashenko, Rahmon agree to work out roadmap to guide Belarusian-Tajikistani relations

MINSK, 1 December (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko and Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon agreed to put together a roadmap to guide the advancement of Belarusian-Tajikistani relations during the meeting in Minsk on 1 December, BelTA has learned.

The Belarusian head of state said: “We have agreed that it is necessary to once again compile a roadmap to guide our relations in these new conditions when Tajikistan is recovering, when relations with the neighbors are fine and shipments are no longer a problem and so on. The president suggested our intergovernmental commission should do it.”

We should step up work in Tajikistan and Tajikistan will become closer to us.”

Belarus-Tajikistan trade and economic cooperationAlexander Lukashenko stressed that Tajikistan is a friendly country and a reliable partner for Belarus. Alexander Lukashenko said he was confident that the current visit would become another step towards stronger Belarusian-Tajikistani cooperation, towards stronger friendship between the two nations.
