MINSK, 11 September (BelTA) – Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has presented high state awards to distinguished Belarusians, BelTA has learned.

Alexander Lukashenko has presented the Order of the Fatherland Third Class to the Chairman of the Minsk City Hall Nikolai Ladutko.

The Order for Service to the Motherland Third Class was awarded to the Chief of the interior department of the Minsk Hall Police Major-General Alexander Barsukov, the first deputy chairman of the State Border Committee Major General Igor Butkevich, the head of supervision department of the Emergencies Ministry Colonel of Internal Service Vladimir Rafalsky.

The Order of Honor has been also conferred on the chairman of the Belarus Ice Hockey Federation Evgeny Vorsin.

The President has presented the Order of the Fatherland Third Class to Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Ukraine Valentin Velichko.

The Order for Service to the Motherland Third Class has been awarded to the First Deputy Interior Minister, head of the criminal police Major-General Valentin Mikhnevich, and the head of the interior department of the Vitebsk Oblast Executive Committee Police Major-General Igor Yevseyev.

The Order of Honor has been conferred on the Professor of the Vitebsk State Veterinary Medicine Academy Semyon Abramov, the Director of the Institute of Physical Organic Chemistry of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Alexander Bildyukevich, the Director General of the Belarusian Telegraph Agency Dmitry Zhuk. The same awards were presented to the head of the communications and automated systems center of the Belarusian Telegraph Agency Samuil Ryzhevich, director of the Design Studio SENS Vladimir Trofimenko and the first deputy chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Sergei Chizhik.

The honorary title "People's Artist of Belarus" has been awarded to artist-soloist of the Gomel Regional Philharmonic Society Galina Pavlenok.

In addition, employees of various sectors were awarded honorary titles "Honored Artist of the Republic of Belarus", "Honored Worker of Arts of the Republic of Belarus", "Honored Worker of Culture of the Republic of Belarus", “Honored Worker of Science of the Republic of Belarus”, “Honored Worker of Education of the Republic of Belarus”, “Honored Worker of the Services Industry of the Republic of Belarus”, “Honored Worker of the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Belarus”.
