Lukashenko discusses Belarus-UAE relations with Abu Dhabi Crown Prince

MINSK, 8 November (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has met with Abu Dhabi Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces Mohammed bin Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahyan. The sides discussed the state and prospects of the Belarusian-UAE relations, BelTA has learned.

“Bilateral relations are of great importance. Last time we agreed on a number of cooperation areas, and we, together with the UAE, are doing our best to develop these relations,” the Belarusian head of state said.

Alexander Lukashenko stressed that meetings with Mohammed bin Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahyan are always held in a friendly atmosphere and thanked for the warm reception in the UAE. The president noted that the Belarusian delegation got familiar with the development of a wide range of areas in the country. “This time we have seen a lot here, including tourism and healthcare. I am grateful that you opened the doors to any house for us, and, first of all, to the hospital we have visited. It impressed us a lot,” the president said.

As for the bilateral relations, the leaders of the two countries agreed that the UAE should be wider represented in Belarus. The parties looked into the variants of some more big projects. It was noted that the bilateral relations have been showing momentum and that they should be maintained and developed further.

The Belarusian president gave a decorated picture Golden Eagle and a sword to the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince as a gift.
