MINSK, 16 August (BelTA) – The Belarusian TV channel ONT will start shooting a new original project “Welcome to Belarus”. Starring will be visitors from abroad, ONT Press Secretary Olga Khizhinkova told BelTA.
As part of the project foreigners will get opportunities to get familiar with the culture and places of interest in Belarus. Any family that has never been in Belarus before and does not speak Russian can take part in the project.
Families from the USA, Germany, France, South Korea, China, and Spain will take part in the project. Each will have to examine sights in an oblast of Belarus as thoroughly as possible.
Each family will get four days for the organizers to present Belarus as a country where citizens honor their own traditions and customs but also as a country that keeps up with the times and global innovative technologies. Thus, in addition to examining ethnographic villages and tasting Belarusian cuisine the guests will be able to visit the sports complex Minsk Arena and the National Library. They will be able to go down into Soligorsk mines and meet the local biker community.
The key goal of the project is to have a look at Belarus from the point of view of foreign guests in order to once again make sure the country is versatile and unique.
The ONT TV channel plans to start broadcasting the project “Welcome to Belarus” in October.
