Bilateral documents signed during Lukashenko’s official visit to India

NEW DELHI, 12 September (BelTA) – A number of bilateral agreements was signed during the official visit of Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko to India. After the official negotiations of the Belarusian head of state with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi the parties signed and exchanged documents, BelTA informs.

A program of cooperation between the governments of the two countries for 2018-2020, a memorandum of understanding between the Education Ministry of Belarus and the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship of India on cooperation in professional and vocational training, a memorandum of understanding between the Education Ministry of Belarus and the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports of India on cooperation in the youth policy were signed.

The Belarusian State Oil and Chemistry Concern and the Ministry of Oil and Natural Gas of India signed a memorandum on cooperation in the oil and gas sector.

The sides also signed a protocol of amendments to the agreement between the Agriculture and Food Ministry of Belarus and the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare of India on cooperation in agriculture of 16 April 2007.

The National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the National Academy of Sciences of India signed an agreement on sci-tech cooperation. A memorandum of understanding on cooperation in education and agricultural research was signed between the Belarusian State Agricultural Academy and the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR).

Besides, heads of Belarusian Potash Company and Belzarubezhstroy exchanged documents with their Indian partners. An agreement on cooperation was concluded with Minsk Tractor Works.

The sides also initialed an investment agreement between Belarus and India.

It was reported earlier that agreements and memoranda in the manufacturing industry, investment, delivery of equipment, pharmaceutics, medicine, and tourism were also signed after the Belarusian-Indian business forum in New Delhi.
