BAKU, 28 November (BelTA) - Belarus and Azerbaijan signed a package of documents on cooperation in various fields. Relevant agreements, cooperation development programs and protocols were signed following the talks between Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko and President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan in Baku on 28 November, BelTA has learned.
The two parties signed an action plan to implement the program of social and economic cooperation between Belarus and Azerbaijan by 2025.
The two countries concluded a comprehensive program of cooperation in agriculture by 2025.
A program of cooperation was approved between Belarus’ Sport and Tourism Ministry and the Azerbaijani Ministry of Youth and Sport for 2017-2018. The two countries also signed a program of cooperation in the field of education for 2016-2020.
To combat customs violations related to the movement of goods by air, the State Customs Committees of Belarus and Azerbaijan signed a protocol on cooperation.
Following the talks the parties signed an agreement to establish interregional links between Grodno and Gabala District, to promote cooperation between the National State TV and Radio Company of Belarus and the Azerbaijan Television and Radio Broadcasting Company and also a number of other documents.
