MINSK, 8 June (BelTA) – Alina Talay of Belarus placed second in the Women’s 100m Hurdles during the fifth leg of the 2018 IAAF Diamond League in Oslo, Norway, BelTA has learned.
The Belarusian came in second clocking 12.63 seconds. Danielle Williams of Jamaica won in her season’s best time of 12.60. Bronze went to Queen Harrison of the United States (12.71).
“My knee touched two barriers and I lost in speed a little, coming in second. I will try my best at the next leg in Stockholm,” Alina Talay said.
Belarusian high jumper Dmitry Nabokov finished 6th with 2.20m. Mutaz Essa Barshim of Qatar won the event (2.36m).
The sixth leg of the 2018 IAAF Diamond League is scheduled for 10 June in Stockholm.
