Over 100 Japanese children to come to Belarus for recuperation

MINSK, 26 July (BelTA) – Over 100 Japanese children living in the areas affected by the Fukushima disaster and devastating tsunamis will come to Belarus for recuperation, BelTA learned from the Zubrenok education and recuperation center.

The first group has already arrived in Belarus; the second one will come in early August. “Following doctors’ recommendations the children were offered a diverse recuperation program including oxygen cocktails, coniferous and pearl baths, aromatherapy, aeroionotherapy and massage,” the center informed. Apart from that, the children will be able to do hiking and take part in sports events.

The children will also be offered a number of entertainment activities, like master classes in traditional dances and souvenir making, an evening of Belarusian-Japanese friendship, a festival of arts and other events. The children will be taken on excursion to Minsk, Mir, Nesvizh, and Nanosy-Novoselie homestead and will mingle with their Belarusian peers.

The Japanese children will stay in Belarus till 11 August.

In June Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko signed a resolution to earmark funds for recuperation programs for Japanese children at the Zubrenok education and recuperation center.

The Japanese children living in the areas that were affected by the natural disasters of 2011 come to Belarus every year since 2012.
