Chinese children to go on rehabilitation holidays to Belarus

MINSK, 7 September (BelTA) – Chinese children will undergo medical rehabilitation in the Belarusian National Children Hospital for Medical Rehabilitation, BelTA learned from the press service of the Healthcare Ministry.

The first group of children will arrive on 9 September. All in all, Belarus is set to receive three groups of children and their parents. Specialists will examine every child and their medical histories and draw up individual rehabilitation plans taking into account the opinions of their Chinese colleagues. For this purpose the hospital has modern rehabilitation capacities: physiotherapy, curative baths, rooms for therapeutic exercises, fitness centers, qualified doctors, teachers and psychologists. The children will be offered diverse cultural, sports and entertainment programs.

Besides, Chinese specialists will arrive soon to get acquainted with the achievements and capacities of Belarusian healthcare system. They will examine the work of the Belarusian Research Center for Pediatric Oncology, Hematology and Immunology, the National Scientific and Practical Center for Pediatric Surgery and the National Scientific Practical Center of Traumatology and Orthopedics. Belarusian healthcare facilities are ready to receive children suffering from congenital malformations, dysrhythmia, scoliosis, and cancer.

Healthcare Minister Valery Malashko believes that the cooperation strategy in provision of healthcare to Chinese children will make the basis for similar work with adult patients. Belarus is ready to provide medical services to Chinese citizens.
