MINSK, 5 February (BelTA) – U.S. military officers will carry out an inspection in Belarus, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Defense Ministry.

The U.S. inspection group is scheduled to visit a military base of the Belarusian Armed Forces from 5 to 8 February in accordance with the 2011 Vienna Document on Confidence and Security-Building Measures, the Belarusian Defense Ministry said.

According to the ministry, the inspectors are to evaluate the information Belarus has provided to the OSCE member states about the major weapon and equipment systems.

The group comprises eight U.S. inspectors and a military inspector form Germany.
