MOSCOW, 22 February (BelTA) – The progress made in the implementation of the coordinated foreign policy action plan of the Belarus-Russia Union State will be assessed at a meeting of the Union State Parliamentary Assembly Commission on Foreign Affairs. The event is scheduled to take place in Minsk on 28 February, BelTA learnt from the PA press service.
The meeting will discuss the issues related to the development of inter-parliamentary contacts, international election observation in the CIS countries and the information support of the activity of the Parliamentary Assembly. Besides, the participants of the meeting will take stock of the winter session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly and the Union State budget performance in 2016.
The Parliamentary Assembly MPs are also expected to meet with Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich.
Partaking in the meeting, alongside with the Union State MPs, will be representatives of the Union State Permanent Committee and the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Belarus and Russia.
