MINSK, 3 November (BelTA) – Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives Boleslav Pirshtuk met with Head of the Swiss Embassy Office in Minsk Claude Altermatt, BelTA learned from the press service of the House of Representatives.

“During the meeting the sides discussed the interparliamentary, trade and economic cooperation. Particular attention was paid to the setting up of the friendship group for Belarus at the Federal Assembly of Switzerland,” the press service informed.

Boleslav Pirshtuk noted that in 2017 the bilateral ties were developing well. The MPs actively interacted during the 26th annual session of the OSCE PA in Minsk and the 137th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in St. Petersburg.

The National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus of the sixth convocation has established a working group on cooperation with the Swiss Parliament. It is headed by Senator Mikhail Orda.
