South Korea to help Belarus develop digital government standards

MINSK, 2 April (BelTA) – Experts of the Republic of Korea will help Belarus with preparing a roadmap on working out standards for building digital government systems, BelTA learned from representatives of the Belarusian Communications and Informatization Ministry after the latest session of the coordinating committee of the Belarusian-Korean center for cooperation in information technologies.

The sides signed a project plan for the year 2018, which envisages a number of projects, including consulting about the assimilation of universal standards and digital government platforms. Korean specialists will look into approaches to creating basic digital government components in Belarus. Examples of successful unification of approaches to the creation of a digital government in Korea and several other developed countries will be cited.

Among other things the plan provides for training Belarusian specialists to use paperless trade technologies. Competences in the area of information security will be enhanced.
