LJUBLJANA, 7 July (BelTA) - Slovenia is an important and constructive partner of Belarus, Belarus’ Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alena Kupchyna said when commenting on the meetings and talks she held in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia.

The Deputy Minister stressed the importance of cooperation with Slovenia, which has been developing rapidly. In particular, the political dialogue has intensified, which is confirmed by the results of the talks with the Slovenian Minsitry of Foreign Affairs during Alena Kupchyna’s visit. The trade and economic cooperation has been growing stronger as well.

Since the accreditation of the Belarusian Embassy in Slovenia the country has shown an interest in strengthening the economic cooperation with Belarus and is taking real steps towards it. The Slovenian-Belarusian intergovernmental commission on trade, economic and scientific-technical cooperation was established in 2010. Preparations for the next meeting of the commission were also discussed during the current visit of the Belarus’ Deputy Minister to Slovenia.
