MOSCOW, 2 April (BelTA) – Russian President Vladimir Putin sent greetings to Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko as the two countries celebrated the Day of Unity of Peoples of Belarus and Russia on 2 April, BelTA learned from the press service of the Kremlin.
In his letter of greetings, Vladimir Putin stressed the importance of the Union State for the Russian and Belarusian people and praised the results the two countries reached in integration cooperation in the political, trade, economic, sci-tech, humanitarian and the sectors over more than two last decades.
The Russian President also noted that the gained experience of cooperation helps find optimal solutions to any, even most complicated issues, promotes further development of mutually beneficial Russian-Belarusian ties.
