CHISINAU, 30 March (BelTA) – Prime Minister of Moldova Pavel Filip is expected to come to Belarus on 6-8 June on an official visit, representatives of the Embassy of Belarus in Moldova told BelTA.
Ambassador of Belarus to Moldova Sergei Chichuk and President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Moldova Sergiu Harea met to discuss preparations for the visit.
Results and prospects of advancing Belarus-Moldova trade and economic cooperation were discussed. Progress in fulfilling the agreements reached during the visit of Prime Minister of Belarus Andrei Kobyakov to Moldova on 2-3 October 2016 was reviewed. Matters concerning preparations for the reciprocal visit of the prime minister of Moldova to Belarus on 6-8 June 2017 were discussed, too.
Apart from that, Sergei Chichuk and Sergiu Harea agreed future actions with regard to the business program of the forthcoming event, including the organization of Moldova‘s collective exposition of during the 27th international agricultural expo Belagro 2017.
The sides mentioned the important role that the chambers of commerce and industry of Belarus and Moldova play in invigorating and advancing interregional economic ties. An agreement was reached that a delegation of the Moldovan private sector will partake in the international fair Spring in Gomel and the Gomel Economic Forum on 17-20 May 2017.
