MINSK, 5 June (BelTA) – The Minsk City Hall and the Changchun Municipal People's Government have signed an agreement on cooperation in tourism and cultural ties, BelTA learned from Minsk City Hall.

The document was signed during the visit of a Belarusian delegation led by Minsk Vice Mayor Andrei Domoratsky to the People’s Republic of China. The parties also discussed the prospects of strengthening cooperation between the two cities in the areas of trade, investment and education.

Representatives of the Minsk City Hall took part in the China-Belarus friendship exchange week and the events to mark 25 years of the twinning relations between Minsk and Changchun, visited the Chinese-Belarusian sci-tech park. The program also included a Belarusian-Chinese business forum.

Memorandums of cooperation with Chinese partners were signed by Kommunarka, Minskkhlebprom, Belryba, Minotel and others. The Belarusian delegation also comprised representatives of the main consumer market department, the department of household and hotel services, the department of sports and tourism, and the economy committee of Minsk City Hall.
