MFA: Belarus’ foreign policy aimed at solving problems rather than creating them

MINSK, 28 December (BelTA) - In the international arena Belarus seeks to solve problems rather than create them, Belarus’ Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei said as he met with students and teachers of the Riga Belarusian school named after Yanka Kupala and the Vilnius Belarusian gymnasium named after Francysk Skaryna, BelTA has learned.

“Belarus does not want to create problems for anyone. We, on the contrary, want to see them all gone. If the region is calm, conflict-free, it will be easier for us to develop our economy,” he said.

In his view, Belarus’ sensible foreign policy is one of the reasons to be proud of the country. “No one can blame us that we are the invaders. We do not have any territorial disputes with the neighboring countries or other states. We strive to pursue a peaceful foreign policy,” he said.
