MINSK, 4 October (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has sent greetings to newly-elected Iraqi President Barham Salih, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“I am convinced that your activity as the head of state will contribute to the country’s democratic development and its rapid economic progress,” the message of greetings reads.

Alexander Lukashenko stressed that he looks forward to continued gradual expansion of cooperation between Belarus and Iraq.
