Lukashenko instructs to monitor compliance with construction terms in Belarus

Lukashenko instructs to monitor compliance with construction terms in BelarusMINSK, 3 October (BelTA) – It is essential to monitor compliance with construction terms as part of investment agreements, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko gave a corresponding instruction at the session in Minsk on 3 October, BelTA has learned.

“Today we encourage people and investors to take part in construction projects. You know my requirements. Probably, they have been included in the legal framework. If not, Mitskevich [deputy head of the Belarus President Administration] will report to me,” the head of state said. “There are rock-solid terms in investment agreements. For people as well. Starting from Minsk, we will inspect the observation of these terms in the near future. As far as I can see, the situation is often terrible. It takes five years instead of two to build a house. There are dilapidated buildings in Minsk, and I have already told the city’s authorities about it.”

Alexander Lukashenko reminded that some time ago there was an agreement to involve various premises, particularly unfinished construction projects, in the economic turnover.

According to the president, local authorities cannot sometimes decide what to do with such objects. “In fact, it happens in Minsk,” the Belarusian leader said and added that it is essential to solve the problem.
