MINSK, 14 March (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has sent greetings to Angela Merkel who was reelected the Chancellor of Germany, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“I am convinced that your exceptional authority, rich political experience will contribute to the further development of the country and the strengthening of its positions on the international arena. I hope that the new government of Germany under your leadership will continue expanding the Belarusian-German dialogue in various fields and supporting the process of normalizing relations between the Republic of Belarus and the European Union,” the message of greetings reads.

The president remarked that Belarus will remain a reliable partner of Germany, including in joint efforts to resolve the Ukrainian crisis and ensure regional security.

Alexander Lukashenko wished Angela Merkel strong health and every success in her responsible work. He also wished the people of Germany peace and wellbeing.
