MINSK, 26 February (BelTA) - President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko conferred the Order of Friendship of Peoples to Deputy Chairman of Russia’s Government Arkady Dvorkovich, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Maximov, First Deputy Chairman of Russia’s Government Igor Shuvalov, and Chairman of the Board of the Sovereign Wealth Fund Samruk-Kazyna Umirzak Shukeyev. The Belarusian head of state signed the corresponding decree on 26 February, BelTA learned from the presidential press service.

The Order of Honor was bestowed upon Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federal Assembly Sergei Naryshkin.

The awards were presented for the big personal contribution to the preparation of the Eurasian Economic Union Treaty, development and enhancement of integration processes, strengthening of economic cooperation between Belarus, Russia, and Kazakhstan.
