Hope for Lithuanian emotionality about Belarusian nuclear power plant to calm down

MINSK, 24 August (BelTA) – Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei met with Ambassador of Lithuania to Belarus Andrius Pulokas on 24 August for the Ambassador to present copies of his credentials, the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BelTA.

The sides discussed the entire range of items on the agenda of Belarusian-Lithuanian relations, including major problems. Vladimir Makei said he hopes that the current emotionality the Lithuanian side demonstrates during discussions about the project to build the Belarusian nuclear power plant will calm down. Vladimir Makei said Belarus would like to find a constructive way for the two countries to interact on the matter in the spirit of good neighborhood without affecting other avenues of bilateral cooperation.
