MINSK, 16 February (BelTA) – Belarusian President awarded the Francysk Skaryna medals to Chingiz Aliyev, the head of the publishing sector of the department for publishing, advertizing, and information at the Culture and Tourism Ministry of Azerbaijan; Eduard Militonyan, the head of the state non-profit organization Book and Publishing Center of the Armenian Culture Ministry; and Vyacheslav Ignatenko, a member of the Moldovan Artists' Union, deputy chairman of the national public association Belarusian Community in the Republic of Moldova. The relevant decree was signed by President Alexander Lukashenko on 16 February, BelTA learned from the presidential press service.

The medals have been presented in recognition of the significant contribution to closer cultural and humanitarian ties and to the development of international cooperation in information and publishing, and for the promotion of the Belarusian culture and literature abroad.
