MINSK, 3 May (BelTA) - Saudi Arabia will use the practices developed in Belarus as it improves its system of justice, the Belarusian Justice Ministry said on its website following a meeting between Belarusian Justice Minister Oleg Slizhevsky and a delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia led by Deputy Minister of Justice for International Cooperation and Legislation Mansour Al-Qufari, BelTA has learned.
The parties noted the importance of developing cooperation in legal matters. Oleg Slizhevsky told the colleagues about the role of the Justice Ministry in the government system of the Republic of Belarus. The head of the Saudi Arabian delegation said that the information will be used as Saudi Arabia improves its justice system.
At the expert level, the two parties reviewed a draft memorandum of understanding between the justice ministries of the two countries. The draft document was finalized during the consultations. Belarus First Deputy Justice Minister Sergei Zadiran and Mansour Al-Qufari signed a protocol of consultations which articulates the intent of the parties to sign the memorandum in the near future.
The delegation of the Justice Ministry of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is in Belarus on a visit on 1-4 May.
