MINSK, 21 May (BelTA) – The Belarusian-Chinese relations have a bright future, China’s Ambassador to Belarus Cui Qiming said in an interview to Belarus 1 TV channel, BelTA informs.
“I am confident that our relations have a bright future. They are based on a solid foundation of strategic treaties and agreements, regular meetings between our leaders and good work of executors at all the levels. They also rely on strong principles of comprehensive strategic partnership, which is mutual trust, equality, mutual respect and common benefits,” the diplomat said.
Cui Qiming noted that cooperation in the field of high technologies is an area that will be given more attention with time. “We see the fundamental importance the president and the government of Belarus attach to the development of high technologies and the digital economy. The experience of our economic cooperation has already included a number of projects and companies engaged in the high-tech industry. Moreover, Belarus’ current interest in digital transformation means that there will be much more profitable projects,” said the ambassador.
“If we assess the enormous prospects of our countries in the area, we will see that we are only at the beginning of the road today. We need to lay down several sustainable development platforms in the area in order to fully use the potential of leading companies in IT and digital economy,” Cui Qiming said.
