MINSK, 10 November (BelTA) – A protocol to an agreement between the Defense Ministries of Belarus and the People’s Republic of China on China’s gratuitous military assistance to Belarus was signed by the two parties on 8 November, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian Defense Ministry.
The document was signed during the meeting of Defense Minister Yuri Zhadobin with a Chinese military delegation led by Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army Wang Guanzhong.
The Chinese military delegation is in Belarus on a visit on 7-10 November. According to the Defense Ministry, the visit will promote further development of cooperation in the military and technical sectors of the two countries.
The members of the Chinese delegation paid a visit to the Belarusian State Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War and the exposition of the Brest Hero Fortress memorial.
