MINSK, 19 October (BelTA) – The thirteenth session of the Belarusian-Armenian intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation will take place on 20 October as part of the working visit of an Armenian government delegation to Belarus, the press service of the Belarusian Forestry Ministry told BelTA.
The commission is headed by Belarusian Forestry Minister Mikhail Amelyanovich and Armenian Economic Development and Investment Minister Suren Karayan. Prospects of advancing bilateral cooperation are supposed to be discussed during the session.
In January-August 2017 Belarus-Armenia trade totaled $23.2 million, 22.7% up from the same period of last year. Belarus’ merchandise export reached $18.3 million, with import at $4.9 million. The main exports were medications, tractors, truck tractors, domestic electric heaters.
