Belarus, Uganda eager to develop bilateral legal framework

MOSCOW, 28 March (BelTA) – Belarus and Uganda are eager to develop the bilateral legal framework. The issue was discussed at the meeting of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Igor Petrishenko and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uganda to the Russian Federation and Belarus (with concurrent accreditation) Moses Ebuk in Moscow on 28 March, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian diplomatic mission.

“The sides discussed the current state and prospects for the development of the Belarusian-Ugandan cooperation,” the press release of the press service reads. “Special attention was drawn to the discussion of the schedule of top and high level contacts, development of the legal framework of bilateral relations.”

The diplomatic relations between Belarus and Uganda were established on 2 October 1998. The bilateral trade made up $15.4 million in 2016.
