MINSK, 23 April (BelTA) – The Institute of Economics of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences of the Royal Academy of Cambodia signed an agreement on scientific cooperation, BelTA learned from the press service of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
The delegations of the institutes met in Beijing to discuss the prospects for scientific cooperation. Belarus was represented by Dmitri Primshits, Deputy Director for Scientific and Innovative Work at the Institute of Economics of the National Academy of Sciences, and Acting President of the Belarusian-Chinese analytical center Vadim Sugak. The Cambodian delegation comprised representatives of the Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences, the Council for Environment, Social and Cultural Affairs of the Council of Ministers of Cambodia, and the Institute of Biology and Medicine of the Royal Academy of Sciences.
The parties discussed themes of joint research, the prospects for participation in bilateral and multilateral international research projects, the areas of Belarus-Cambodia scientific and humanitarian cooperation.
The parties signed an agreement on scientific cooperation, which envisages the development and deepening of scientific links between the Institute of Economics of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences of the Royal Academy of Cambodia. The document also determines the prospects for joint research, scientific and organizational events, scientific publications, training and enhancement of qualifications of scientific personnel.
