MOSCOW, 6 February (BelTA) – The commission of the Union State Parliamentary Assembly will discuss legislative support for Belarus-Russia trade and economic cooperation in Gomel on 13 February, BelTA learned from the press service of the Union State PA.
“The harmonization of Belarusian and Russian laws in trade and economy will be in the spotlight of the meeting. The sides will exchange views on the current state and prospects of business cooperation between Belarusian and Russian border regions, share experience in mutually beneficial trade, and outline problems arising due to the gaps in the legal regulation of such activities in the Union State,” the press service said.
The session will be attended by senior staff of the Gomel Oblast Executive Committee and the Gomel Oblast Council of Deputies, and also officials from border regions of Belarus and Russia.
During the trip to Gomel, the Union State MPs plan to meet with senior staff of the Gomel Oblast Executive Committee and the Gomel Oblast Council of Deputies, visit regional companies, and learn more about the work to develop interregional cooperation.
