Belarus, Russia sign set of agreements on regional cooperation
MOSCOW, 30 June (BelTA) – Belarus and Russia signed a package of intergovernmental agreements on regional cooperation at the fourth Forum of Regions in Moscow on 30 June, BelTA has learned.
Agreements on trade and economic, sci-tech and cultural cooperation were signed between the Government of Belarus and the governments of the Chechen Republic, Mordovia, Pskov Oblast and Ryazan Oblast. The parties also signed an action plan to enhance cooperation between Belarus and Krasnoyarsk Oblast for 2017-2018, an agreement between Brest Oblast Executive Committee and Smolensk Oblast Duma of Russia, Brest District Council of Deputies and the Representative Assembly of Kurchatov District of Kursk Oblast.
The set of documents also includes the agreements on cooperation between the Legislative Assembly of Orenburg Oblast and Gomel Oblast Council of Deputies, between Minsk City Council of Deputies and Moscow City Duma.
The Belarusian National Academy of Sciences and the State Corporation Roscosmos also inked a cooperation agreement.
