MINSK, 4 April (BelTA) – The House of Representatives of the National Assembly has ratified the agreement on friendship and cooperation between Pakistan and Belarus, BelTA has learned.
Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko and Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif inked the agreement in Minsk on 10 August 2015.
The document reads that the countries will prevent the use of their territories for any acts of armed aggression against each other. Besides, they made a commitment to work together to maintain and strengthen peace and stability in Eurasia.
The agreement also stipulates that Belarus and Pakistan will make efforts to develop and intensify contacts between their parliaments. Military and technical cooperation is named another important area of bilateral relations.
